5 unexpected locations perfect for young families

Family holidays are an amazing opportunity to create memories and bond with one another. You can get away from it all and let your stresses melt away on a sandy beach, or get your adrenaline levels pumping with some holiday activities. Choosing an ideal location can be difficult, however, especially when you have the welfare and happiness of younger children to consider. Your holiday choices become even more difficult if you or your significant other are travelling while pregnant. Here are five unique holiday locations that every member of your family is guaranteed to love:

  1. Zambia, Africa

Most families avoid Africa over fears of catching diseases such as malaria. However, if you take the necessary precautions then African countries are safe to visit and will be holiday destinations your children are unlikely to ever forget. Most tourists flock to South Africa for their adventure, but there is so much to experience in other parts of the continent, such as Zambia. Once you’ve received the appropriate vaccinations recommended for the country, you can experience the stunning African landscape and wildlife safaris which are better than any geography lesson your child will ever attend.

  1. Dordogne, France

Instead of a pricey trip to Disneyland Paris, why not plan something a little bit different during your next family holiday to France? Dordogne is a hidden gem of the country and much loved by every young family who decides to visit. Filled with culture, adventure parks, and architectural wonders, Dordogne is just as exciting as the popular French cities but without the hectic streets and bustling crowds. If you’re travelling while pregnant, then this is the ideal location for you as the flight time is relatively short if you’re coming from the UK or Europe. Sightseeing holidays are recommended in most pregnancy travel guides and where better than the beautiful Dordogne?

  1. Burma

This amazing country is gradually being accepted as a family holiday hotspot. The tranquil setting and abundance of wildlife are perfect for children hoping for an adventure. The Inle Lake Region is a delight to explore or even kayak along if you and your family are up for the challenge.

  1. Wuxi, China

If you want to experience a completely different culture, then add Wuxi in China to your travel bucket list. If your children are old enough to endure the long haul flight, then visiting the beautiful Lake Tai and nearby China Dinosaur Park are great things to do as a fast-paced family.

  1. Krakow, Poland

If you’re hoping for a more laid-back holiday filled with culture and history, then Krakow might surprise you. Kids will have fun exploring Krakow’s royal castle pretending to be knights and princesses, while the adults can admire the stunning architecture.

It’s fun to visit places that aren’t the most popular. I like exploring when we travel, and these sound interesting. I feel like a lot of places are just fine as long as you use common sense (as far as when it comes to those that are off the beaten path or perhaps could be considered less safe).

exactly, it is important to go with the wave during travels. Sometimes, you just have to prepare your trip, as it is advised by special authorities.
