Due to holidays and my inner mood of doing nothing during those days, I missed one Friday of our weekly update on new hotel openings in 2020.
I am back on track, I would like to write more, I have a lot of things to write about, but unfortunately there is lack of time, and many things are not done.
Let’s move on, here are my top 5 picks of the week.
I cannot deal with it, but I have a special feeling to the islands of Spain, and especially Mallorca. I managed this destination for more than 6 months, and these were 6 months full of ups and downs. There are so many hotels, and each one deals in different ways.
Happy to announce that the local Spanish chain Zafiro will open a new 5 star property, Zafiro Palace Andratx Hotel in Camp de Mar. And it is located in a beautiful beach in the southwest of Mallorca, 4 km from Andratx and its fantastic port area. A modern and innovative 5-star hotel providing services designed to allow guests to experience the genuine pleasure of the most unique and privileged holidays. Over a total area of 40,000m2, the hotel features large gardens and spaces adapted for children of all ages, eleven outdoor swimming pools and two indoor pools and an extensive range of activities both inside and outside the hotel.
And because of my deep love to Mallorca, today in our list of 5, 2 are from there. Amazing Can Ferrereta will open their doors in Spring 2020. Located in the quaint rural town of Santanyí in the south east of Mallorca, Can Ferrereta will bring charm, the creative energy and a wave of boutique crash pads. Can Ferrereta is about 50 minutes from Palma and close to a clutch of unspoilt beaches, the 17th-century mansion will have 31 characterful rooms as well as a spa, a hammam, an 80ft pool and a seasonally minded restaurant.
If you were always keen to visit such a full of history place as Lebanon, then this hotel is for you. Planning to open its doors to the wide public in Spring 2020, this family home will be all you want to know about local life. A 19-room property, located in Gemmayze, set across four houses, that previously was the home of art collectors Nabil and Zoe Debs, will include all vibes of Lebanese life.
Denmark an European destination that travelers do not talk so much. But, I am sure, this one is a gem for any who is looking for something unique.
Brøchner Hotels will open a funky hostel in Aarhus in spring. The flashpacker’s delight takes over the city’s former library in Mølleparken, with 444 beds on offer – from suites to pod or bunk dorm rooms – as well as hip bars, a sauna, social spaces and a food court offering Nordic pizzas, wood-fired dishes and more.
I love Melia chain and its vibes. This chain is where any traveller has to stay at least ones. They offer more than a stay, they offer experience, you just want to smash from every minute of your stay in this chain´s properties.
Here we go, with a new Me, in Dubai, that will open their doors in Spring 2020.
A striking building designed by the late, great Zaha Hadid that resembles a sci-fi cube with a carved-out central void. This ME by Meliá will have 93 rooms across 19 floors of the futuristic space, with interiors themed around ‘interconnectedness’.
