Our 1 day at La Molina with kids.

I always said that we are lucky to live in Barcelona city. You are just a few minutes away from any beach. Walking you can get to any beach in Barcelona, and riding any beach of Costa Barcelona, Brava or Dorada. The options are many. But this of course in summer time. But, what we do in winter time? We go skiing or sledding. La Molina is just a perfect place to get fast to the closest ski resort.

All began when hubby asked my opinion of going on Friday all together to La Molina for sledding. I told of course. I was just wanting to get out of the city to a more quiet place, and La Molina was a great idea.

This time we didn’t ski, nor snowboarding, our main reason was sledding and enjoying the day with kids. I just cannot share their happiness of such a cool day.

On our way to La Molina we did a stopover at Berga, for a picnic and to eat something. Actually La Molina is only 2h ride, but on Friday, the way there was longer than usual. We had like 3 places with huge traffic. After the 1st one, we thought that it would be too much time without getting out of the car if we will stay in 2 traffic jams.

We stopped in Berga, ate, had some sunny time, enjoyed some fresh mountain air, and went back. Meanwhile we got only 1 more traffic jams, and not 2. The decision of stopping over was a good one.

Finally we got to La Molina, by the time we arrived, many people already went for lunch and we had a good parking slot for us. We took our snow clothes and went directly to sled. Kids were afraid to sled alone, but by the end of the day, they were enjoying more and more on going alone. Of course, we were watching them.

Another activity that we did, was building a snowman. It was a difficult task, as the snow was artificial, and it is more like ice and not snow. The activity itself, wasn’t only about building it, but also getting the best decorations possible. I loved how entertaining was this time.

When you have lots of fun, the time pass faster. And so it was, we didn’t understand how it was already dark outside. Kids were hungry, and we went to the closest creperie, and took some crepes for them, OMG the price for a crepe is unbelievable high :).

Below some funny pictures from La Molina.

Exactly like in our case :). In Barcelona there is no snow at all, if it happens, it is like once in 10-15 years. So, to enjoy it, we have to drive 2h to get, what is cool.

Oh wow, you are lucky to have snow in winter. Our kids see snow, only when we go out in such places 🙂 Enjoy your time with your kids
