Located on Ibiza’s peaceful east coast, just a few minutes from Es Canar and Santa Eulalia, these neighbouring beaches combine crystal-clear water, golden sand, pine forests, and a much more relaxed atmosphere than some of the island’s famous hotspots.
During our family holiday, we spent a full day exploring both beaches. Their close proximity makes them easy to visit on the same day, and together they offer the perfect mix of lively beach life and quiet relaxation.

Cala Nova
One of Our Favourite Beaches in Ibiza
The moment we arrived at Cala Nova, we understood why it’s one of Ibiza’s most popular beaches.
The bay is wide and open, with fine golden sand and incredibly clear water that shifts from light turquoise near the shore to deep blue further out.
Unlike many beaches in southern Ibiza, Cala Nova still feels natural, surrounded by dunes and pine-covered hills.
Our Experience
We arrived in the morning, which gave us plenty of space to choose a spot on the sand before the beach became busier.
The kids spent hours swimming and playing in the calm, shallow water near the shore, while we enjoyed the beautiful scenery and relaxed atmosphere.
It quickly became one of our favourite beaches of the trip.

The water is shallow near the shore, making it a great choice for younger children.

After spending the morning at Cala Nova, we drove to Cala Llenya for a slower afternoon.
The beach felt much more peaceful, with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the scenery.
If you’re looking for a quieter beach without sacrificing beautiful water, Cala Llenya is an excellent choice.
