As a travel agent, I’m always on the move, meeting hotel partners and ensuring that our customers receive the best experiences when they book their travels. My recent business trip to Costa del Sol was an exciting and productive 3-day journey, filled with insightful meetings and the opportunity to explore some of the most stunning parts of Spain’s southern coast.

Day 1: Torremolinos – A Beachfront Paradise
My trip began in Torremolinos, a coastal town known for its vibrant atmosphere and beautiful beaches. As a major tourist destination, it’s packed with hotels, restaurants, and plenty of attractions for visitors to enjoy. I spent the day meeting with our hotel partners, discussing how we could continue offering seamless experiences to our clients. Torremolinos is famous for its long stretches of sandy beaches and lively nightlife, making it a popular choice for travelers looking to unwind.

Day 2: Puerto Banus – The Luxury Heart of Costa del Sol
The next stop on my trip took me to Puerto Banus, a glamorous marina located in Marbella. Known for its luxury yachts, designer boutiques, and upscale dining, Puerto Banus is a magnet for the rich and famous. The area exudes luxury, and I was able to meet with hotel partners who cater to high-end clientele.
During my stay, I was fortunate enough to experience the comfort and elegance of Occidental Puerto Banus, an exceptional property that truly embodies the luxury and sophistication of this area. The hotel’s proximity to the marina made it the perfect base for my visit to Puerto Banus. In between meetings, I enjoyed the tranquil surroundings, beautiful gardens, and top-notch amenities. The hotel has everything you need for a relaxing stay, whether you’re here for business or leisure.
In Puerto Banus, I couldn’t help but admire the sleek yachts docked at the marina and the stunning Mediterranean views. There’s something incredibly captivating about this place—whether it’s the chic cafes lining the harbor or the world-class shopping at places like El Corte Inglés. Even though it’s known for its opulence, there are plenty of things to do for all types of travelers, including scenic walks along the beach or casual dining in the buzzing port area.

Day 3: Marbella – A Blend of Old and New
My final day was spent in Marbella, a charming city that combines old-world beauty with modern luxury. Marbella’s historic old town, with its narrow cobblestone streets and picturesque squares, is a perfect contrast to the upscale resorts that line its beaches. As I met with our partners here, I couldn’t help but be impressed by Marbella’s ability to offer both a relaxing escape and a lively social scene.
The city is a haven for golf lovers, with numerous world-class golf courses in the area. Marbella is also home to an array of top-notch spas and wellness centers, making it an excellent choice for those seeking relaxation. The Marbella Old Town, with its colorful flower-filled balconies and quaint shops, is a must-visit for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the city’s rich history.

Wrapping Up in Málaga
Though my business trip was focused on meeting hotel partners, I couldn’t leave Costa del Sol without taking a quick trip to Málaga, the region’s vibrant capital. With its rich history, stunning architecture, and lively atmosphere, Málaga is the perfect blend of culture and coastal charm. I didn’t have much time to explore, but I made sure to visit the famous Alcazaba fortress and enjoy the beautiful views of the city.
My 3-day business trip to Costa del Sol was not only productive but also filled with the unique charm and beauty that this region of Spain has to offer. From the lively beaches of Torremolinos to the luxury of Puerto Banus, the historical elegance of Marbella, and the cultural allure of Málaga, Costa del Sol truly is a destination that offers something for every type of traveler.
