We spent our first night in Riga at Bellevue Park Hotel, in August 2025: me, my husband Dumitru, Damian (12) and Marc (9), who was in Riga to play the Krauklis Cup. After that night we moved closer to the tournament halls. So this is a one-night review: what you get on arrival, and who I’d book it for.

- What it is: a 4-star hotel at Slokas iela 1, on the left bank of the Daugava, next to Uzvaras Park.
- Best for: families arriving by car (free parking), or anyone who wants quiet and a park next door rather than Old Town noise.
- Not ideal if: you want to walk out of the door into the Old Town. You’re across the river, so it’s a tram ride or a longer walk over the bridge.

Where is Bellevue Park Hotel Riga?
On the Pārdaugava side of the river, right next to Uzvaras Park, one of the biggest green spaces in the city. The Old Town is across the river: a short tram ride, or a walk over the bridge. Trams also connect to the train and bus stations, and the airport is roughly 15 minutes by car.
The room
We had 1 double and 1 single bed. Our room was bright, clean, and comfortable — ideal for a family stay. We had enough space to relax after long tournament days, and the kids loved the city views from the windows.
The Wi-Fi was fast, the beds were cozy, and we appreciated having a mini-fridge and daily housekeeping — small details that make travel with kids easier.
Breakfast
The buffet had everything from fresh fruits and pastries to local Latvian dishes. Parents could enjoy a quiet coffee with panoramic views of Riga, while the kids happily filled their plates with pancakes and Nutella.
Facilities
The hotel has a restaurant, a sauna, a gym and free on-site parking, which is the standout if you’re driving. We didn’t use the sauna or gym on a one-night stop.
Why we moved after one night
Marc’s games were across the city, so for the three tournament nights we switched to Rija VEF Hotel, a 3-star with breakfast two tram stops from the courts. If your trip is about sightseeing, though, staying across the river by the park is a calm base.

The night’s price was €196.00. For context, our four hotel nights in Riga cost €486.94 in total.
Who should book it?
Families with a car, families arriving late who want a quiet first night, and anyone who’d rather have a park than a nightlife street outside the window. If you want to walk everywhere in the Old Town, stay on the other side of the river.
