During our week exploring Ibiza, we discovered dramatic cliffs, ancient fortress walls, hidden viewpoints overlooking secluded coves, and unforgettable sunset locations. Some were famous landmarks, while others were quiet places we stumbled upon during our road trip.

1. Dalt Vila Viewpoint ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best for: History, panoramic views, sunset
One of the first places every visitor should explore is Dalt Vila, Ibiza’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed Old Town.
After climbing through the cobbled streets and ancient fortress gates, you’re rewarded with sweeping views over Ibiza Town, the marina, and the Mediterranean Sea.
This was one of our favourite experiences because it combines history with spectacular scenery.
Travel Tip: Visit in the late afternoon when the light is softer and stay until sunset if you can.
2. Es Vedrà Viewpoint ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best for: Sunset
No viewpoint in Ibiza is more iconic than Es Vedrà.
This rocky island rising dramatically from the sea is surrounded by myths and legends. Whether you believe the stories or not, there’s no denying it’s one of the island’s most breathtaking landscapes.
The viewing area near Cala d’Hort offers incredible photo opportunities.
3. Cala d’Hort Viewpoint ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Even if you don’t hike to the official Es Vedrà viewpoint, the views from Cala d’Hort are spectacular.
From the beach, you can admire Es Vedrà while enjoying one of Ibiza’s most scenic coastlines.
4. Sa Pedrera (Atlantis) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Best for: Adventure
The hike down to Sa Pedrera is steep, but the reward is unforgettable.
Along the trail, you’ll enjoy dramatic cliff-top views before reaching the famous carved rock pools known as Atlantis.

5. Cala Benirràs Sunset Viewpoint ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our very first sunset in Ibiza was at Cala Benirràs, and it couldn’t have been a better introduction to the island.
As the sun slowly disappeared behind the rocky islet offshore, the atmosphere became magical.
If you’re visiting on a Sunday, you’ll also experience the famous drumming tradition.
6. Cala Salada & Cala Saladeta Viewpoint ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The short walk between Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta offers some of the clearest water and most photogenic coastal views in Ibiza.
Looking down from the rocky path, you’ll see shades of turquoise that almost don’t look real.

7. Portinatx Hidden Gem Viewpoint ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

One of the highlights of our northern Ibiza adventure was a small hidden viewpoint near Portinatx overlooking a secluded cove with incredibly clear water.
It’s one of those places that many visitors drive past without noticing, making it feel like your own private discovery.

Often called the best viewpoint in Ibiza, Torre des Savinar offers breathtaking panoramic views over Es Vedrà and the surrounding coastline.
The walk takes around 20–30 minutes and is well worth the effort.

At 475 metres, Sa Talaia is Ibiza’s highest point.
From the summit, you can enjoy panoramic views across much of the island, making it a fantastic stop for photographers.
12. Cap des Falcó ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆

A peaceful coastal viewpoint overlooking the Ses Salines Natural Park.
It’s particularly beautiful at sunset and far less crowded than some of Ibiza’s better-known viewpoints.
