One of the biggest surprises during our week in Ibiza was how many incredible experiences didn’t cost us anything.

Many people think Ibiza is only about luxury hotels, beach clubs, and expensive nightlife, but some of our favourite memories were completely free.

From exploring centuries-old streets in Dalt Vila to watching spectacular sunsets, discovering hidden beaches, and hiking to breathtaking viewpoints, Ibiza offers plenty of unforgettable experiences for every budget.

Here are the best free things to do in Ibiza that we genuinely recommend after exploring the island as a family.

1. Explore Dalt Vila

If you only choose one free activity in Ibiza, make it Dalt Vila.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is the historic heart of Ibiza Town, filled with cobbled streets, stone staircases, charming squares, and panoramic viewpoints.

We spent several hours wandering through the old town without any plan, and it quickly became one of our favourite experiences of the trip.

One of our favourite evenings in Ibiza was watching the sunset at Cala Benirràs.

If you’re lucky, you may also hear the famous sunset drummers, especially during the summer season.

Even if you don’t buy anything, the famous Punta Arabí Hippy Market is well worth visiting.
