The Canary Islands, are 8 in total, we are fortunate, that visited 3 of those. Tenerife, Lanzarote and now, Fuerteventura. These islands have a lot to offer and in my opinion the best keep secret of Spain, you just need to know where to look. Fuerteventura is known for beautiful beaches but this gorgeous island has so much more to offer.
Before we go to the top 5 best places to visit, I want to share with you some of the posts to your interes:

So, now let’s jump into these top 5 places:
- Mirador de Guise y Ayose, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands
We have 2 addictions, while travelling. The first one is watching sunsets and the second one is going somewhere really high, where the views are opening to the city or the place we travel. Mirador de Guise y Ayose, is that kind of place, that leave you with a breath away.
- El Cotillo Lagoons and Lighthouse
El Cotillo is at the very northwest and started as a little fishing village and is now slowly turning into a funky little town with some great restaurants and cafes. It is only 10 minutes drive from Lajares, the village we stayed.
Our first stop was lighthouse and then lagoons. Both of these just spectacular. The lagoons are beautiful you have the stunning aqua coloured ocean water in natural pools surrounded.
- Corralejo
Corralejo is the tourist hub of Fuerteventura. It has a more lively feel than the island’s other towns and is a good spot to stay for a family holiday, as there’s plenty to keep the little ones amused as well as a nice, calm sandy beach for everyone to enjoy.
We enjoyed watching kite surfers learning meanwhile.
- Parque Natural de las Dunas de Corralejo
Right after having some beach time in Corralejo, you have to find some time to go to massive sand Dunes. We loved the feeling of dunes, sand and picturesque views. The sunset is just spectacular there.
- South-East beach coast
On the South-East coast of Fuerteventura lays 18 km of turquoise water, so you are just free to choose the beach you like more. Perfect place to enjoy a long day with kids.
