What’s free with your ticket (the part nobody mentions)
On the Sunday we visited, the Plaza Mayor had a run of children’s activities included with admission, no extra charge:
- Painting workshops
- A Montessori toy playground
- Face painting, done properly rather than by a volunteer with a sponge
- DJ sessions for children in the square
There are paid workshops and events too, but the free programme is what turns this from a ninety-minute walk into an actual day out.
