Barcelona Zoo a must-see place once in Barcelona with kids

Once, me and my husband, moved to Barcelona, we reached to see all famous places of Barcelona in very first weeks of our stay here. We were eager to discover new lovely places of Barcelona, some of them very touristy others less. One of the places that impressed us a lot was Zoo Barcelona. When we went, I thought, once we will have children, we will come again. And yes, we came over and over again from May last year. We bought a familiar pass for one year long. Every time when we have a free weekend, or a day during the week, we come to the Zoo. Both of our kids spend great time here.

If you come for a week, or even better, you move to live to this condal city, visit to Barcelona zoo should be close to the top of your list. The zoo offers a wide range of educational activities relating to taking care of animals in captivity, including a wide choice of diversionary workshops, excursions and fieldtrips geared towards both adults and children of school age onwards.

Barcelona Zoo is just a must-see place while in Barcelona with kids. For babies from 0 to 2 years, like our little one, zoo is a perfect place to discover new sounds, colors and observing animals movements. For kids from 3 to 6 years this is a perfect place to skip, jump and run all over the zoo. Explore animals from all over the world in just one place.

Good to know. Barcelona zoo became an international attraction as it was home to Snowflake, an almost unique and very famous albino gorilla.

Play grounds. Even if all kids love animals and are keen to watch them. A playground is a better place to take a rest after a few time of walking. Zoo Barcelona has 2 play grounds, one big enough for kids from 3 years and older. And one for the kids with all ages, but designed mostly for the little ones. Second playground has farm animals around, and give to this place with a feeling of being in a farm and not in the zoo.

Food. Here are a lot of bars that offers snacks, and drinks. I think that some of these prepare meals as well. Obviously, prices are much higher than in any other bar in Barcelona. In many cases, people come with their sandwich and buy refreshments in a bar. Every bar has its own space to enjoy the meal. Apart of that, Zoo Barcelona has several places to eat for those who come with their meal. These spaces are well designed, comfortable and cozy.

Price.  Adults 19.90EUR, children(3-12years) 11.95EUR. Zoo Barcelona oftenly makes promotions of 2×1. Annual fee for family membership 87.90EUR.
