While our kids were busy having the time of their lives at the Los Angeles Lakers camp, my husband and I decided to take advantage of the free time and explore the southern region of Los Angeles. We chose to visit Seal Beach, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made in a while.
Seal Beach has this charming, laid-back vibe that makes you feel relaxed the moment you arrive. We started our adventure with a leisurely walk to the pier. The view from the pier was stunning—endless ocean on one side and the quaint town on the other. The gentle sea breeze and the sound of the waves set the perfect mood for a peaceful day.
After taking in the sights from the pier, we made our way to the beach. The sand was soft and golden, and the atmosphere was calm, perfect for unwinding. It wasn’t too crowded, so we found a nice spot to sit and enjoy the ocean for a while. Watching the waves roll in was so soothing—it felt like we had found a little slice of paradise.
Next, we headed over to the port, where we admired the yachts docked in the marina. The sight of those sleek boats bobbing gently in the water was captivating. It’s easy to see why people are drawn to this area—it’s a perfect blend of luxury and simplicity.
We also spent some time strolling through the old town, which was a real treat. The streets were lined with unique shops, cozy cafes, and charming little spots that gave us a taste of local life. It felt like stepping back in time, in the best possible way.
In just a few hours, we were able to explore so much of what Seal Beach has to offer. It was a refreshing change of pace, and we cherished the time spent together as a couple. If you ever find yourself with some free time in LA, I highly recommend taking a detour to Seal Beach. It’s the perfect little escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
