HOW TO MOVE AROUND IN BARCELONA?

20 COOLEST DAY TRIPS FROM BARCELONA.

  1. Sagrada Familia.

Sagrada Familia is an iconic place to visit in Barcelona. So if you have few hours in Barcelona, then you just must see this place. A Gaudi masterpiece of Gothic architecture, and undoubtedly Barcelona’s most famed landmark. In fact, if you don’t see anything else, just visit this building.

The queue is really large to get inside, and specially in summer time. So, we advise you to get your tickets online and to get faster inside. The entry price is quite expensive, but it worth it.

After checking this church inside, go to the park, and you will have spectacular views over it and gorgeous pictures taken from this place.

  1. Park Guell.

Park Guell is a big garden complex slightly north of central Barcelona, originally planned as a garden housing development. This park remarks Gaudi’s talents and ideas and how great masterpieces he created. It’s worth a visit, but it is likely to be very crowded. It also offers splendid views across Barcelona.

  1. Passeig de Gracia.

La Pedrera and Casa Batllo. Both houses are Gaudi creations, and are very beautiful architectures, that worth to be visited once there.

Both architectures are very close to each other, only 4 streets apart, but both on Passeig de Gracia. Take a time to get a tour to both of those and you will love those.

  1. Placa de Catalunya.

The Placa de Catalunya is a big plaza in the middle of Barcelona, and a good place to enjoy some quality time during the day. It is very touristy as any other places, but you will always find your little space there.

  1. Gothic Quarter.

Gothic Quarter is amazing due to all the old buildings you will find there. Some of those are more than 2000 thousands years. Every corner will be just spectacular to take a shot.

But, be careful with your pockets, stealers know that there are many tourists here and they look for some relaxed tourists.

Here you can enjoy some quality time at Cathedral of Barcelona. Another priceless church, that every tourist has to see it.

  1. Castell Montjuic and Grounds.

If you are keen to enjoy much more of the city, then we can recommend heading up above the city and and go to the Castle Montjuic and surrounding gardens, followed by a visit to the Magic Fountain.

Castell Montjuic is perched 180 metres above the city, and will give you a great evening view as the sun starts to lower herself down. It’s free to enter, and is open fairly late.

The views over the city are just amazing, and you will enjoy every minute of your stay there.

  1. Plaza España and magic fountains.

If you still have time and wish to enjoy the city even more, then we really recommend to finish your day at Plaza España and enjoy magic fountains. Right before magic fountains, enjoy the views and the sunset across the city.

Check Magic Fountains opening times, as those are different on winter and summer time. If you get your timings right you will finish your evening off in style, with the streets of Barcelona below ready to envelop you in an evening of food, music, and good times.

All the places mentioned above are meant to be discovered in metro. As each of those are not really close to each other.

Barcelona is notorious for pickpockets. Keep your belongings secure and locked up. Pay particular attention in busy tourist areas, and on public transport.
