This past July, our kids had the incredible opportunity to attend the Los Angeles Lakers Camp from the 15th to the 19th. As basketball enthusiasts, this camp was an absolute dream come true for them. It wasn’t just about honing their skills on the court; it was an international experience that left a lasting impact on them.
The camp kicked off on Monday morning with an exciting start. The Los Angeles Lakers Girls made a special appearance, which set the tone for the rest of the week. The kids were thrilled to meet them, and of course, there were plenty of photo opportunities! Following this, the process of distributing the official Lakers camp gear began. It was amazing to see all the kids, including ours, proudly wearing their matching Lakers outfits for the week—it really made them feel like part of the team.
Each morning, the camp began with a presentation that parents were welcome to attend. This was a fantastic touch, as it allowed us to be part of the experience and see firsthand what our kids were getting involved in. The presentations were always packed with inspiration. Important staff members from the Los Angeles Lakers, as well as former players, would speak to the kids, sharing their wisdom and experiences. These talks were not just about basketball; they were about life lessons, hard work, and dedication. Our kids were particularly inspired by these sessions and couldn’t stop talking about them.

After the games, there was always a closing speech summarizing the day’s achievements, which was a nice way to end the day on a high note.
What made this camp truly special was the variety of people who came to speak and interact with the kids each day. While the program had a consistent structure, the different guest speakers and coaches brought fresh energy and new insights daily. The values they imparted went beyond basketball—they talked about respect, perseverance, teamwork, and the importance of a positive attitude.
One unforgettable moment was when the kids had the chance to touch a real NBA championship ring and take photos with an actual championship trophy. This was an experience that took their excitement to another level! It’s not every day that you get to be so close to such iconic symbols of success in sports.
By the end of the camp, our kids had not only improved their basketball skills but also made great new friends and met amazing people who inspired them. The camaraderie among the kids was wonderful to see, and the connections they made will likely last beyond the camp.

It was a week filled with excitement, learning, and personal growth, and we’re so grateful they had the opportunity to be part of it.
