On a recent trip to Granada and Malaga, you may have read that we had a lovely experience. And if you follow our instagram posts and stories, you may have seen all in detail about our stay with Sercotel Hotels, in Granada and then in Malaga. Today I will share with you how we were treated in Malaga.

WHERE IS THE SERCOTEL MALAGA HOTEL AND HOW DO YOU GET THERE I have to confess, Marc loves so much buses and all public transports, that his wish makes us to reconsider public transport during travels. We were looking at many times on renting a car, but we thought that for 2 days, it is not the case. Now, looking back, I would think one more time and would rent a car. Because, I think we could visit even more places than we did on this trip. We took a bus on bus station in Granada, and went till bus station in Malaga. And the hotel is only 5 minutes walking from the bus station. Here to say, train station is just on the next building to bus station. The hotel itself has a very good location for those who plan to use bus or train. Then we found that the hotel is very close to the beach, as well. It is only 10 minutes walking to the beach, and 20 minutes walking to the city center. We were impressed by how fast we can get wherever we want. Living in a big city, you find it like luxury to get wherever you want walking.

THE ARRIVAL EXPERIENCE AT SERCOTEL MALAGA At the hotel, we were met by Beatriz, Guest Experience Manager. I was impressed, as I thought nobody was waiting for us. But she knew all our names, asked us about our stay in Granada and more than that, prepared for us a special welcome package with the things we can do in the city and outside. Beatriz made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in to this beautiful 4 star hotel. Our check in took place very quickly, as our rooms were already prepared just to walk in.

OUR ROOM AT SERCOTEL MALAGA

Actually these were 2 connecting rooms. As I am working in hoteliers field, I knew that many hotels offer 2 connecting rooms for family stays, but we have never stayed. A new experience for us. Our rooms at Sercotel Malaga were incredibly spacious, 1 twin room and another double room, 2 bathrooms, well the same you have in 1 room, we had in 2 rooms. Kids were enjoying the fact that they will have so many space for themselves. Beatriz took care about our welcome in the room as well. In the kids room, they had kids kit, with amenities especially for kids, sweets (lots of sweets), and fruits, and a bottle of water. In our room, we had a fruit salad, a bottle of water and a welcome letter. I thought that it was a lovely touch. Maybe it is weird, but I am getting very emotional when find such messages in the room.

THE FOOD AND DRINKS AT SERCOTEL MALAGA We were on a bed and breakfast basis, which meant we had breakfast during our 2-night stay. Breakfast was served next to the reception area. We had the option to take our breakfast indoors or outdoors on the terrace. Each day we chose a different place to take breakfast. Why not? Inside area, is very chilly, you can sit, relax and not only eat. I loved the area, because of the design. Outside area, is great, as you are enjoying the fresh air and lovely green area. Kids enjoyed having their ColaCao, and choosing the food they like. I have a video with the breakfast offer at Sercotel Malaga on instagram.

FINAL THOUGHTS: We absolutely loved our stay at the Sercotel Malaga and I think most readers will too. The service was also lovely – special thanks to Beatriz and people who made us feel like home.
