Our trip to Japan lasted 19 days, and we were in doubts to buy our JR Passes for 15 days or 21 days. By the end, we decided to spend some time in Tokyo, and to initiate our journey with JR Passes in our last 15 days. First day we used JR Pass, was day trip to Nikko, check the previous post. And after that we embarked on a long journey to the center of Japan, Osaka.
Osaka promises an array of cultural delights and historical wonders, but on the other post I will share everything we visited there. Meanwhile, today I want to share only one tiny side of discovering this city it is Osaka Castle. As we ventured into this iconic landmark with our two eager kids in tow, little did we know that our visit would unfold into a memorable adventure filled with surprises and discoveries.
On our first day in Osaka, brimming with excitement, we set our sights on Osaka Castle, a symbol of the city’s storied past. With our kids buzzing with anticipation, we arrived at the sprawling castle grounds, greeted by the majestic sight of the imposing fortress surrounded by lush gardens and tranquil moats.
Despite our eagerness to delve into its interiors, time slipped away, and we found ourselves exploring the castle’s exterior and the picturesque park that envelops it. The kids marveled at the towering walls and ornate details of the castle’s facade, imagining themselves as ancient samurai warriors defending the fortress.
Our enjoyment finished once we saw we cannot enter the inside of the castle. Still, we enjoyed a lot of outside activities, as litstening the music, watching kids training for samurais etc.
Determined to uncover the secrets hidden within Osaka Castle’s walls, we made a triumphant return on our last days in Osaka. Armed with renewed enthusiasm and a sense of adventure, we embarked on a journey through time as we stepped into the castle’s interiors.
Inside, we were transported back to the days of feudal Japan, as the kids gazed in wonder at the intricately decorated chambers and historic artifacts on display. From ancient weapons and armor to exquisite artwork and artifacts, each corner of the castle offered a fascinating glimpse into Japan’s rich cultural heritage.
Taking pictures inside the Castle is prohibited. We could take pictures as much as on the first floor, where the journey starts and on the last floor, where the marvelour views are opening over the bustling city.
