Best sunsets to enjoy in Fuerteventura with kids.

As you already know, we love to enjoy sunsets while traveling to an island. Fuerteventura was not an exception. Almost all the days, we went for a sunset adventure, and we are really happy and proud of our kids, as they really wanted these experiences. Fuerteventura is that kind of destination, where enjoying sunset is the whole pleasure, in terms of views, sightseeings, and of course temperature all year around.

Fuerteventura despite being the driest and windiest, is also the most attractive. Here is  where any traveler feels as if he has crossed some kind of border. The uniqueness of its geography, its location and its history full of legends and traditions, makes that this island very different of the rest of the country.

As mentioned in our previous posts, Fuerteventura is a great island to discover, enjoy beaches, villages, people. But, as well, Fuerteventura stands out for, it is for the wonderful sunsets at nightfall. An incomparable show that can be enjoyed especially by couples, but also with family or friends.

El Toston Lighthouse

It was our second evening, as the first one, we arrived really late, and did not enjoy any sunset. So, for us, it was the first one. El Toston Lighthouse, by itself is an amazing place to enjoy during the day and it has a very interesting history. But, take some time to enjoy it by the evening, and watch best sunset time.

What we loved the most in Fuerteventura, were clouds, moving clouds, all the time. Sunset was even prettier with this move, and we enjoy it every second.

Dunes of Corralejo

Actually we went to watch kite surfing at Corralejo Beach. And due to very impressive masterpiece of people who practice this kind of sport, we stayed too much. We had no time to go on the other part of the island to enjoy the sunset by the ocean. So, we decided just to go further, and we discovered this treasure, Dunes of Corralejo. Located in the north of the island, this beach is perfect for those who like taking long walks on the beach. And in this place the sand scampers between your toes, giving the traveler the feeling that he is walking upon the soul of Fuerteventura. And it was simply amazing, watching the sun going down on the horizon?

El Cotillo Beach

In that day we went to discover the most amazing 18 km of turquoise beach in the south of the island. It took us almost 2h to get there. We really wanted to stay for the sunset in Cofete, as we were recommended to go to this place. But, at the very last moment we decided to go closer to the resort we stayed at Pierre & Vacances. So, what we did, we went through the island, and then right to Cotillo Beach.

What to say, we were so impressed, as we walked and made thousands of pictures, videos, and simply enjoyed our time together.

We really think, Fuerteventura is worth a visit just to contemplate the beauty of its sunsets. An impressive show made up by an explosion of colors, where the black volcanic rocks and its turquoise waters merge with the orange, red and purple sky when the sun rushes over the sea. And once again, the clouds, were on move, and made the sunset magical.

If you have the opportunity, try to go to Cofete. An amazing place to enjoy. Many people told us, and really recommended us to go there. We left it for the next time.
